I Just wanted to share some great news. I just got word from a friend that inexpensive health food stores are popping up in various places. This is great news because its giving people who don’t have a lot of money to work with the opportunity to afford healthier food options. These stores provide a variety of inexpensive items that are normally double sometimes triple the price at regular stores. These stores are also promoting healthy nutrition, and encouraging people to reduce or even eliminate the highly processed foods from their diets. In my opinion, I believe the average person wants to eat healthily, exercise and live a long life. It starts with educating ourselves and others, on the importance of not only starting but maintain this lifestyle change.
I will end by asking the question, Have we arrived? Absolutely not, but we are on our way to good health with each healthy food choice we make.

For those of you who are new to the Plant Based Diet. Creating a food log is a great way to track your progress. A food log is a list of all the things you eat each day. It does not have to be perfect, just as accurate as you can. Mine looks something like this.

Here is an example of what I had for breakfast today.
This is oatmeal (whole oats). It’s best to get the quick oats. The packaged oatmeal in tend to have a lot of sugar in them. It’s best to use whole quick oats.
Oatmeal,Raisins,Apples, Bananas, Almonds, Walnuts, and a pile of leafy greens on top.
These greens just so happen to be Spring Mix. Gotta get your veggies in somehow right?
I try to eat breakfast 8:30am during the week. I am hungry again at 12:30-1:00pm,
My other breakfast Option is a smoothie
Bananas, Avocados, Spinach, Strawberries, Mangos and Flaxseed.
This is very filling for me and taste delicious as well.

What are some Plant Based breakfast foods you like to eat?
So I was debating on posting this, Here is my inspiration for creating this blog.
I’m outnumbered, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
What if your doctor told you that a Plant Based Diet is best for you because of your diabetes. You are on Insulin and various pills. Your doctor also tells you that this diet may perhaps get you off some or all of your medications.
What would you do?
A. Take his advice and try to follow a Plant Based Diet?
B. Completely ignore what your doctor says and continue your regular routine of a S.A.D.?
Although some doctors won’t say these things to you, there are some that will.
A doctor can only go by what you tell him is ailing you. Of course he can do all kinds of test to find out the issue, but he can only diagnosed you with what he finds.
Our doctors are not responsible for our overall health, we are. Taking the responsibility to put good things in our bodies like living food can reduce the risk of disease and sickness.
